About Beechtree Tech
Beechtree Tech was founded by Josh and Maritza Pearce in 2007 in order to address the practice management and EMR needs of clinics within the NC Triangle region.
At Beechtree Tech, we won't be satisfied unless each customer is able to tell us that we have saved them money and made their practice more efficient. We leverage open source software solutions because we believe in the power of a community to take care of its own needs. The open source community is made up of passionate individuals who value the freedom to use software the way they see fit. Coincidentally, there are no licensing fees to use any of the software we provide. You are paying simply for our expertise, and as a customer, you are helping to contribute to the OpenEMR project, and to the ideals of free (Libre) software.
JOSH PEARCE - Josh has been a software developer for the last ten years, working in diverse areas from industrial automation to clinical trials software. He grew-up in the mountains of North Carolina, in the small town of Beech Mountain. He earned his Bachelors Degree at North Carolina State University where he majored in Mathematics. In his free time, he enjoys history, spiritual topics, snowboarding and fishing and camping with his family.
MARITZA PEARCE - Maritza manages the finances and the day-to-day operations of the company. She has an extensive background in business operations and personnel management, and specialized in employment immigration. Maritza is a native of Colombia, SA, and came to the United States when she was seven years old and grew up in Raleigh, NC. She received her Bachelors Degree at Appalachian State University where she majored in Political Science. In her free time she enjoys running, dancing and cooking for family gatherings at her home.
